Los Angeles, CA – Teddy Kapur, the son of immigrants, a father, a leading volunteer for homeless families, and an accomplished business attorney – is building a unique campaign for Los Angeles City Attorney.
As of today, Teddy’s campaign against injustice has received more than $200,000 from nearly 500 supporters. His campaign received $180,000 as of December 31, 2020, and has raised more than $25,000 in January 2021.
Teddy’s campaign released the following statement:
“With nearly 500 contributions, our campaign for Los Angeles City Attorney is off to a strong start. We can do more to end injustice in Los Angeles. Too many essential workers are treated as disposable. Too many lives are ruined by minor misdemeanors. Too many unscrupulous landlords push people into homelessness. And too many underutilized parcels of land owned by the government are ignored instead of being used for affordable housing.
“The City Attorney has the power and the resources to reduce injustice. The first 500 people donating to my campaign are responding to that message. I am grateful that my average contribution is just over $300, and I am moved by the contributions from over 100 people who chipped in $20 or $30. I will honor their faith in me by running a campaign against injustice.”
