Los Angeles – California Senator Maria Elena Durazo today announced her endorsement of Teddy Kapur for City Attorney.
“I’m humbled to have Senator Durazo’s endorsement,” said Kapur, who is running for City Attorney in Los Angeles. “Having her support is an incredible honor, and I’m grateful for the momentum it adds to the campaign.”
“I stand with Senator Durazo against wage theft, worker misclassification, and deplorable conditions at detention facilities,” Kapur added. “I admire her leadership to seal outdated criminal records, insist on the minimum wage for workers with disabilities, and hold perpetrators of hate crimes responsible for their actions.”
“Our parents came here from different parts of the world, but Teddy Kapur and I have dedicated our lives to fighting injustice,” said Senator Maria Elena Durazo in a written statement. “Teddy and I work together to help people who don’t have a place to live. We traveled to Nevada to get rid of an anti-justice Republican United States Senator. And we’ve joined Bet Tzedek in the fight for garment workers and against wage theft.”
“Teddy Kapur will turn the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office into a campaign against injustice. I am proud to endorse him for City Attorney.”
